yeah, Murray is getting closer. The key for him to overtake #2 is to play really well at both IW and Miami plus to have a solid clay season. He can gain many points on dirt.

yup, and both IW and Miami will be probably decided between Nole and Andy. I just don't see anybody else bothering them there, although you never know.

Djokovic was eliminated by Isner in IW last year, from an equally strong-looking position. And Murray has had many strange results there. Wouldn't surprise me to see an non-Nolandy winner this year also. Their collective chances appear much greater in Miami. With no Federer in the draw to possibly ensure an SF meet, I fully except them to meet in the final there.
