Hola Markus.

As I said in the introduction threads, welcome here. Hopefully you can get along with these awesome people here and check in from time to time. If you want to give us an analysis or deep tennis discussion you can also go ahead.

I promise I won't ban you  :)~

Goedenavond Javi

You won't ban me? Leaving all the mod work to the others is not nice, you know  ;-()

I havent seen anyone I fear not getting along with yet  :)

They had no reason to ban me at all, no infractions, offenses anything, but I was questioning the permabans of my friends all the time and they just permabanned me without putting me on the banlist..... ,  but I told you I don't care, that's a trash place.....  3 hours that's good, people arrive in 1 hour.....

That's really a shame...I suppose they thought you were a DA of said friends.

Duncan! It's you, isn't it? You've lost two thirds of your user name, but still....

My first final in front of the TV was Borg - McEnroe Wimbledon 1980

It's me yes  :) the rest of my username likes to sleep from time to time.

I probaly saw some finals at a very young age because my parents were watching but i started following the game myself in '86

Good thing. One shouldn't overexert a user name.

I was only seven in '80. Wimbledon was the only tournament I saw that year, and only because I was with my grandfather, the only one in my family to share an interest for tennis. Sadly, he died Jan 1982. I don't remember watching anything that year, or the following, but I remember seeing McEnroe - Lendl FO 1984 so I guess I was back then. My memories so far back are a little hazy.

Great match that one, have it on dvd. We didn't have cable tv until the late 80s and back then dutch television only showed the 2nd week from RG and Wimbledon. No Melbourne or New York. Dutch atp events were shown, but not much and belgian tv had the ECC Championship in Antwerp, the one with the diamond racket. In '88 I could watch a lot more because of cable tv  :)

I can't speak much, but I know a tiny bit. As for your Norwegian....the word you're looking for is "Skål". The "å" is a difficult one. Can also be written "aa". As for "Jag elsker dig" that is Swedish, not Norwegian. Similar language but not identical. Same in Norwegian would be "Jeg elsker deg".

How did I get popular? I really don't know. I don't expect to be. I try to be myself and to accept others as they are. Others will be the judges on whether I succeed. Looking good so far, I guess, but any time someone could come along and show dissatisfaction on seeing me here. I'm not universally popular on MTF or any other place I've posted. But I tend to get along just fine with most.
