I believe Michelin stars are what only the best restaurants get? I hear there are few restaurants with 3 (or is it 5?) Michelin stars, and they are considered the best in the world.

I think this is where the saying "5 star restaurant" comes from? Or is that another system? 

3 michelin stars is max.

I already saw the big cities in the states have several of them

big cities have never been my thing. just give me the ocean like here on the gulf coast and the great outdoors and i am happy.
