general mc there is no keeping him out of indian wells but he has to skip miami to save the knees for the run on clay.

i agree about madrid: he has no business being there. it is better to practice on his own in mallorca.

i believe he has 1-2 slams left in him but its a long road back and he has to stay off the hard courts as much as possible. he would need to take an early strategic loss at indian wells and bypass miami to go jump on clay right away.

What's the attraction for him playing tennis at Indian Wells General? I'd rather see him on the golf course there playing with Ana Ivonovic. If he goes to Indian Wells for tennis, he is almost guaranteed to play doubles.

the owner of that tournament--larry allison the billionaire nearly 40 times over if not more---is a huge fan of nadal.

so there is massive appearance fee involved. so he will feel committed/obliged to wreck his knee further for them once he is is there.
he will play both singles and doubles while being obvious pain and suffering.
