tom okker the flying dutchman at #3. that does sound pretty impressive.

you must go back quite some years for that though......he played doubles with all the top guys from his time. Made the US Open singles final once too..

Have I welcomed you here yet Clash?  I might have and it slipped my mind, been busy.  Either way, welcome!

Thank you !

by the way Ann, are you familiar with Michael "Charles Bronson" Peterson?

I am Javi. He's often referred to as the most violent man in this country by the UK media. I do know that he's one of those criminals who is serving a whole life tariff. Which is a very rare thing in Britain.

I never knew that about Tom Okker. Quite refreshing to read of players not letting tennis become their whole life after finishing playing.  :)

Btw, The very best of luck to Igor Sijsling & Robin Haase in the final tomorrow!  :))

holy smokes duncan. i am looking at my encyclopedia.

it says okker won 30 singles titles and 78 doubles titles. that is one more than johnny mac in doubles.

unbelievable. it says here that he was only 5 foot 9 and weighed 145 pounds.

he must have been able to move like the wind.

he made semis of all majors so he could play on all surfaces.

wow. impressive. he won thje french open in doubles in 1973 with john newcombe. he also won the u.s. open in doubles.

generalito i thought fed hit his backhand pretty damn good last night. it was impressive.

it was the old forehand that came up a little short in some key moments when he had to have it. it had always been there in the past.

also i think he should have tried to break down murray`s forehand. murray is too solid off his backhand wing.

Fed's backhand has been pretty good all tournament. hits his down the lines good and I only counted 1 mis**t today.

he needs to get his forehand back in shape, and his serve more stingy.

but here you are wrong mate, murray's forehand has significantly improves. it's not longer a weakness anymore.

fantastic video generalito. the music reminds me of music from the movie "last of the mohicans" to some extent.

check out the soundrack from that movie when you have a moment. it will blow you away.
roger still plays the game so easy and so effortlessly.

i spoke with a friend of mine from california today. he said he cant watch enough of roger`s tennis. he said he watched the entire match last night.
