general markus what music are you listening to these days?

general nekro that song by nightwish is fantastic.

by the the way have you heard of a band called queensryche since we have been on this old bands kick here lately?

General Samson, recently I've listened most to a Norwegian band noone else in here will have heard of, as they sing only in Norwegian, called Raga Rockers, second a Swedish band called One More Time and Type O Negative, also some of the German band Rammstein. Going in the background as we speak are "Haunted" by T O N. So mostly tough rock/metal but also some pop (the Swedes). What about yourself?

i am heavy metal on one extreme and spanish guitar on the other extreme.

i dont understand spanish but i love the music anyway. vast majority of that is just instrumental stuff but words are fine. i can always imagine.
i can also enjoy some pop and some country.

Hello all.  I hope you are well.

Here is an update with some photos and video of Nadal's practice today in Manacor...

The upper portion of the left knee - looking a bit bruised to me.

there is still a way out for nadal:
1. he has to do 90% of his match pay and practice on clay
2. that means losing early on purpose on the required hard court events
3. improve the serve, return, the slice, and the volley

thanks for the update general MC.

how are you feeling? is the cough gone?

Hola General Hercules. Feeling a bit better, but no, the cough is not gone and probably won't be for a couple of weeks yet.  I just try to get rest when I can.   Thanks for asking.

I think you are right about that strategy for Nadal, but since when did he listen to any of us?  Let's see how soon he gets back on the hard courts.  I think he has an exhibition scheduled at Madison Square Garden in early March on hard court.  Will he play or skip it?  I think the temptation is going to be too great for him at IW and Miami, but I hope I'm wrong.  He should skip those events and use March to practice and set himself to play at home on clay in Davis Cup instead on the 5th-7th April, which will set him up for Monte-Carlo on the 14th.  But his knee has to hold up somehow.

Respectfully,
masterclass

you'll get better eventually John!

Suicide Tennis & Fill in the Draw, it only takes away 1 or 2 minutes of your time every week.

Suicide Tennis, you have to pick a player every day. If the player you pick loses, you are out (you can only pick a particulair player once during the tournament)
http://www.tennis4you.com/forum/index.php?board=53.0

Fill In The Draw, you have to make a draw for the tournament and hope you have the most right picks.

it will test your knowledge John, and it's good fun too. CD, Dunc and all others are playing as well!

general mc i think the knee is becoming a dangerous issue for him because he refuses to listen to his own body and also refuses to learn.

he should have figured this out in 2009 when he got his ass handed to him by a nobody at RG and then also had to pull out of wimbledon.

he played and won more matches on hard courts than anybody alive on the tour in 2008 like a damn fool. all the while doing untold damage to his knees.
and then he gave his all for that 2009 australian open title.

that was the time to stop right there and give the knees a break. like greedy lunatic he ran to rotterdam and had to finish the final against muray on 1 leg. you will recall that he lost the last set 6-0.

as a matter of fact that was his 5th time that his body was telling him start minimizing match play and practice on hard courts.

he went on to have his people install him an indoor hard court in mallorca.

so who the hell is going to feel sorry for him. i think he is damn fool.
