its because of the accident that demolished his knee. he had to reinvent himself on clay because of it.

by the time he came all the way back, he was getting up in age and he was having some back and knee issues again.

26-27 is middle age for most tennis players.

also he had other severe limitations like the lack of size for instance.


i think his story is the greatest story in tennis never told. it is unbelievable what he managed to achieve after that drunk driver destroyed his knee in florida.

he was to play a final against lendl on hard courts. i thin he would have probably won from what i had read.

he would actually go back to that same tournament again and win it. how strong is that duncan.

Form and tough draws. For example he def. Agassi in 5 sets in 2nd round of 1994 FO and than he lost to Rafter in the next Round. In 1996 he lost in fourth round to the later runner up Michael Stich.

in 1993 lost to peak Courier, 1997 to champion Kuerten in thrilling 5 sets.  :)

So, it'll be Kazakhstan-Czech Republic, Canada-Italy, Argentina-France and USA-Serbia.
If Serbia beats USA they'll be favourites against either Canada or Italy and will play at home in the final against Czech Republic or away against Argentina/France.

i cant see anybody troubling serbia this year as long as nole is playing.

american tennis rapidly fading into the sunset. they have isner and they have the aging bryan brothers.

Wow...niners aren't just losing, they are LOSING!!! 

Wazzup, CD and mim and anyone else left.  Took me awhile to skim the last few pages of posts.  Pet Shop Boys getting a top ten list, lol!   I dont think I even know 10 Pet Shop songs!  But i think Suburbia is tops for sure.  Then their awesome remake of Always on my Mind but just the demo version.
