Tsonga has been dispatched already, that helps clear a path for Roger.

Not necessarily. Simon is now favourite to reach the SF instead, and Federer has a much worse H2H against him than Tsonga.

I'd also like to remind remaining players to make a suicide tennis pick. We lost 50% of our players in a surprising day 1, but MTF lost 86% of theirs so 50% is not too shabby.

Probably not, but he could provide more resistance than Tsonga would have. Fed has never had an easy win against him.

of course not duncan. no way in  hell is he winning in singles there. nalby might help him bag the doubles title but what good is that title when your singles games is going to hell in a hand basket fast.

he did not really win those matches in chile if somebody saw them more closely.

take chardy for example: he hit every other ball either out or into the damn net.

clay had always saved nadal but a day would come when it would not. some of us saw that coming 5 years ago.

he should have never gotten off clay when he was out farting around for 7 months. now he will get embarassed by just about anybody.

almagro is going to win brazil and ferru will take acapulco.

nadal let his game go and he threw away his fitness. i cant see how he can make up that ground before RG now.

Markus. I'll go and do that now. I thought Granollers was probably the safest pick of the day. Just goes to show you can't legislate for such results.

bettsy has already put in her request for volume #11 to general javier the fearless. i  think her volume will be here before we can blink.

it is her lucky number. :)) :))

hell yes duncan. all you have to do is get with javi. you are the king of this place mate.
you are king and you are family.

javi is taking care of all volumes. it is easier for one person to track it and keep all in order.

I'm sorry, Ann, but once one pick loses - or you forget to make one in time - the tournament is over. Kind of like for the player you picked. But there will be a new one next week :)

Granollers was in fact the most popular pick on MTF. I considered him but felt uneasy about his chances. Guess I got lucky there.

Mediocre minds pick alike. I've gone from the sublime to the God help us after last week. Lol!

Oops a daisy. I forgot about that Markus.  :paper bag: I knew I was going to do something twittish there sooner or later. Lol!

From the list of matches he did look much the safest option. Ah well, there's always next week.  :) No, if you had an odd feeling about him, then I don't regard that as you being lucky, just correct in making the prudent decision not to select him.

See, your influence extends far and wide Samson.  :))

we can keep "ye olde castle" at mtf and at tf but here i think we need to try something different.

i am liking the idea of calling it "Camelot". especially for here.

it is a smaller place, smaller family, and a fewer knights/generals. "Camelot" is also a cool marketing ploy.

it may attract more people.

only thing constant is change. :))

ann, duncan what is your take on this?

how do you like this place to be simply called "Camelot"?
