I still don't get it. why Nadal is playing doubles if his knees are not 100%? yeah I do realize he needs some practice but still ...

I agree. Nadal looked tired in the third set against Zeballos in Chile, and in that regard, it makes little sense for him to play doubles too. But it takes him time to settle down & find his momentum, and I suspect he's priority is to find momentum by getting as much practice in as possible. I doubt if he is bothered by losses in these tournaments.  He clearly has an aim to be ready for tournaments that matter to him, in the scheme of things.

Nadal pulled out of the doubles. Quite coincidentally one of the double's opponent was, say it, Horacio Zeballos   .

Congrats to Rafa but this was one of the worst matches ever. extremely low quality. Nalbandian being just a pathetic clown. He didn't even try.
