Yes, no elite, but the 2nd tier players are really present.

he is slowly proving that he  can compete with top players. now he just has to keep going in the right direction.

this is a good learning experience for him. he should start playing a few small clay events to imrove his ground game and also to learn the finer details of point construction.

you really cant make it at the top now without a bullet proof ground game. you can compete here and there on quicker indoor hard courts but you are not a factor on other surfaces without real consistency off the backcourt.

Janowicz putting up a good fight.
Some serves around 140 mph, he comes to the net and has plenty of pace on the groundies.
I'm impressed.  :king:

Really an epic win by Tsonga!! 3 match points on Tomic's serve, last year that would have been impossible.

Some surprising results here. I watched the Simon / Del Potro match & was surprised at GS's attacking game. He basically outplayed JMDP, going for his shots & looking for opportunities to finish off the rallies, and converting his chances beautifully.

Some match highlights:

Simon - del Potro | Marsella 2013 [Highlights]

I haven't seen Berdych play here at all, but he is in the final & I assume he's in reasonably good form. With Tsonga making short work of Simon, it ought to be a good final.

I think Tsonga will win it. He looks good out there - his colaboration with Richard Rasheed seems to be working well.  I can't find a clip of the Tsonga / Simon SF match, but here are some highlights of Berdych / Tursunov:

Tomas Berdych vs Dmitry Tursunov ATP Marseille 2013 Semi Final

The Schedule for the finals Sunday, February 24, 2013:

COURT CENTRAL Start 12:00 noon

Qureshi / Rojer    v   Bopanna / Fleming

Berdych    v  Tsonga

Jerzy Janowicz vs Tomas Berdych ATP Marseille Quarter Final FULL MATCH

I really like Jerzy Janowicz, like his forehand.
