Damn right. It was some battle, Gulbis saved 3 MP's but his forehand at times was very error prone.
If he only gets that part of his game working he'll be very dangerous.
The firepower he has is in the DelPo level.

gulbis is a gifted athlete.

all that is missing is the drive and the hunger. and he has to put in the hours on clay to become more consistent off the ground.

also as far as those errors go, they are overrated in tennis. nole had 61 errors at the australian open and yet he took over the match in the last 3 sets.

you just have to snatch the crucial/key points in tennis and you win.

Those errors don't mean what they used to.
Djokovic has long rallies, so eventually he'll get an error. But what is missing is that he may have just made 10 good shots.

The errors have to be looked at by a ratio of errors/total shots.
