lets hope so mate. if llodra can win a singles event here and there than so can sizzling sijsling. sizzling is better than llodra. his record will prove that later this year.
this was a huge opportunity with milos, isner, and melzer already out.
lol that's not true.
based on what is Sijsling better than Llodra?
actually any comparison is wrong at the moment but igor is better than llodra as a potential singles player.
they are about 8 years apart in age. and that is nearly a lifetime in tennis. llodra is pushing 33 and soon will be out of top 60 and then eventually out of top 100.
llodra is a damn nobody. so he can play a little bit on those fast indoor hard courts at home. what can he do on clay and grass?
igor`s stock is rising. today was a great learning experience for him. he almost took down a highly ranked opponent with a big game. igor`s entire body of work in sigles is ahead of him. he has a great game and great composure already. i think he is going in the right direction. he needs to take his fitness a notch or 2 higher.
so llodra has some big doubles titles but who said i was talking about doubles. and who really gives a damn about doubles. i dont.
i see a far greater potential for igor in singles than llodra. he is just better than llodra.
he will develop his game in the next 3-4 years at the current rate and bag some singles titles.
average age of a touring pro is 28 now in the top 100. so in the 3-4 years igor should be a top player. he is clearly a lot better than his current rank.
anyway i see a great future for igor in singles.
