What has happened to Roger Federer?

Since his Rotterdam loss to Benneteau, many people have been speculating on what has happened to Roger Federer.
Even his loss to Andy Murray in the Australian semifinals looked weak for Roger.

Here's the scoop:

Mirka didn't come to Rotterdam at all and did not seem happy at times in Australia either:

Did you guys see him with, with, that *#&^$  in South America?

One can only think Mirka was referring to this Gillette promotion event with some of the players:

Federer - Gillette South American Tour

Now it could be that someone innocently mentioned something about judging the girls' legs...

So, Federer may have needed to make closer inspections on Maria's smooth killer legs...can you blame him?

He must have said something pretty nice, because later they seemed quite friendly :)

But perhaps this pic where Maria is snugly between Roger and his father might have made Mirka feel a bit edgy...

Doubtless Roger had fun in South America...

Juan Martin Del Potro wanted to know how everything turned out...

Roger obviously told Juan what he wanted to know...

Oh well, it is what it is.  Roger may have a bit of time in the doghouse.  Personally, I think Roger was just being his usual friendly self and nothing happened.  But some now have Roger blaming Mirka's not being in Rotterdam on his poor performance there.  We'll see what happens next.

Respectfully,
masterclass

hahahaha, too funny  :))

Very funny running commentator on the Fed pictures :rofl_2:

From what I've read/seen...everything is still just fine and dandy in the Federer household.  They all are in Dubai right now (Mirka and the twins too)!

que pasa dallas.

speaking of roger, i just picked him to snatch the title in dubai in our FITD game. i think he can get on a mini roll there and get it done. his serve and his return was off in rotterdam. i am sure he has been working hard on those 2 issues.

have you seen the FITD game? looks like it is a lot of fun.

Well... Next week would be a really good tennis week, even better than this one (that was pretty amazing, sadly no Rafa in Buenos Aires, but oh well).

This week we have a great Tsonga-Berdych final and probably another Almagro-Ferrer classic.

Weirdly, the biggest tournament (Memphis) was the biggest dissapointment.

Now... next week is the real thing here.
Dubai... A lot of top players (not like last year though).
This time I think Fed won't take it, I give him so little chances, and I confess it damn hurts.
I don't see him going past semis, I really hope i'm wrong, I want to see Fed winning this with all of my heart. But, oh well... It'd be amazing if Tsonga can pull the "SuperTsonga" thing out.

I think Djokovic will easily take the title...

But the real amazing thing here is, I think, Acapulco.
Ferrer and Nadal... Can Nadal beat Ferrer in the middle of his comeback?
That final could be the best thing in a lot of time, let's see how the tournament goes, it could be an epic classic.

This is a good point and something to look for.
A match up of these two will be a real test for Nadal and a good gauge of where Nadal is really at. Ferrer will definitely be up for this.

tsonga vs berdych:

who is snatching the title in france? i think it can go either way.

i will say tsonga in 3 considering he is playing with house money. he should have been out of there already. tomic had him on the ropes.

Hi all.  Thanks for your comments.  I enjoyed making the picture commentary. :)  I hope you're right Lady Dallas. ;)

On a bit different topic, I heard they changed the Dubai court color from blue to green.  Dubai had been relatively faster than many of the other slowed down hard courts recently.  I wonder if that has changed.  Murray not being in the tournament certainly affects things.  I'm disappointed he decided not to return.  I guess he is focusing on Miami and Indian Wells.

So the #'s 3, 4, 5 ranked players are not going to Dubai. Mr. Federer has #'s 6, 8, 9  in his half (Berdych, Tsonga, Tipsarevic), while Mr. Djokovic has the #'s 7, 19, and 32. (Del Potro, Seppi, Youzhny).  Djokovic also has all 4 qualifiers in his half, while Federer has all 3 wild cards.
We'll see how the draw plays out this week.  Some players are coming in relatively fresh, while others have played the last two weeks.

Respectfully,
masterclass
