Hey, I thought you all might like this video I found of the Roland Garros final of 1978 between Bjorn Borg and Guillermo Vilas. Recall that Borg couldn't play RG in 1977 because of the stupid WTT (World Team Tennis) contract restriction and the French organizers, and Vilas took the title that year. Now we come to the following year and they faced off against each other...recall that they played with wooden racquets in those days. Vilas with his Head Vilas and Borg with his Donnay only around
65 sq in head. (Federer uses a 90 sq. in., Djokovic 98 sq in. and Nadal 100 sq in. modern graphite composites)
One point in the match lasted 86 strokes. You had to have real patience on clay in those days. video quality is not too bad...
