i was thinking the same thing. lets hope its not too serious.
he needed a few matches here to keep the momentum going somewhat.
hopefully he can be on the court in a couple of days to resume his practice.

IndiaN Wells

all past champions have been ranked in the top 4 of the world at some point with the exception of philippoussis. To win in IW you need to be really good !!

winners with number of times they won there: Becker(2),Mecir,Edberg,Courier(2),Chang(3),Sampras(2),Rios,Philippoussis,Corretja,Agassi,Hewitt(2),Nadal(2),Djokovic(2),Ljubicic and Federer(4)

Amazing data, Clash!

Also, about the Haas match.
I understand what Igor suffered, but I don't accept his reaction, due to frustration he hit some balls and one of them had the great idea of hitting a spectator.
Not cool, bro, not cool.

ricardas berankis is at #87. he won today in delray beach.

he can do better than just #87. he needs to play more for one thing. secondly he needs to get his ass on clay and develop more consistency off the ground.  better fitness should be his immediate priority.

not sure about top 20 but top 30 to top 40 at least. that may be possible for him.

igor is just frustrated. shoulder issues in memphis and now the damn ankle injury.
at least it shows that he cares about winning. he wants to do well in singles and i think he will.

great stuff to know.

i am glad rios, mecir, hewitt, and edberg snagged titles here. nadal could have won more more but he was born dumber than mike tyson so what  can you do.

nole will probably surpass everybody here at some point.

He is a LL, so fortunate to play at all after losing to Reynolds in the qualies. As often happens, Reynolds was not as lucky and lost to Lu....

Next match is against Sock. I think he'll struggle there, Sock is playing well atm.

why did he play so little last year general markus? is it the injuries?

we have players playing as many as 29-30 tournaments a year and yet he played 17.

you can always blast a ball into the net if you are upset.

i did not see this. was it hit into the stands?

i can understand his frustration. he felt he is not having any luck at all with these injuries.

Yes, yes, it was like that, he hit some balls everywhere, some of them fell into the stands.
And that happened.

He didn't hit exactly into the stands, but... yeah, like when they hit balls for the crowd to catch them, but just a lot more agressive.

He was injured, yes. Only played one challenger between San Jose in February and Nottingham in June.

Berankis got very lucky, he lost in qualifying and drew Phau in Round 1
