Ferrer is playing Veic & took the first set 6-0. Veic now has a game on the board - hurrah!

Nalbandian out, losing the second set to love. I expected him to beat Bedene. And Wawrinka out in straight sets to Fognini.  No disrespect to FF but isn't this typical of SW. He gets to a final but can't find the momentum to play consistently next time.

wow. didn't expect that result. I actually thought Ferrer would win. And if Nadal win it would have been a hard, won fight. Not a slaughter.

just pathetic ... I mean congrats to Rafa by all means, but #4 player in the world, who is an excellent clay player winning 2 games and embarrassing himself along the way ... sorry, just pathetic. It seems to me that Spaniards are bending over for Rafa and being happy to be abused ... I lost all respect for Ferrer ... not because he didn't win (couldn't care less as I'm pretty neutral when it comes to both of them) ... he doesn't deserve to be #4 ... Ferrer s**ts his pants when he sees likes of Nole/Rafa/Fed ...

I have much more respect for Berdych or DP, who lost their matches against Nole but they did try really hard, they  fought. Ferrer is a joke. I don't think I want to watch another match where Spaniards are involved. Almagro/Ferrer the clowns of the highest order.

But I wasnt too surprised, Ferrer probably lost the match as soon as he saw Rafa on the other side of the court  :rofl_2:
