Tipsy should be out of top 10. He's been horrible lately. Gulbis destroyed him. finally, he's been showing some consistency lately.

youngsters shumgsters Tomic and Harrison out. too predictable nowadays.

Time for Nalbandian to retire, it's painful to watch him nowadays.

Didn't expect Hewitt gets into so far.

Nor I, Williamchung.  If I remember correctly, it was said at the start of the season that he is preparing to play better this year.  It was interesting to see him play this match -  he could return well on Isner's serve but served well himself too.

I also watched a bit of the Simon/ Lorenzi match.  I've never given much attention to Lorenzi's game before & liked his attitude.  Pity he couldn't convert his match points.

Janowicz continues to show his potential, but I was pleased to see Nalbandian taking it to a TB in the first set & winning the second set. Amongst the horrible errors, there were flashes of his former shot making abilities & I enjoyed seeing that.

Never having been interested in Verdasco, I nevertheless wonder what happened to him. To be beaten by the veteran Nieminen with this score is noteworthy. FV is out of the doubles too.

The match I wanted to see but couldn't was the Gasquet / Tomic match, as I am a Gasquet fan & alsso interested in how Tomic is doing.  Some highlights:

Set One :

Bernard tomic vs Richard gasquet indian wells 2013 2r 2ndset 2-6

Set Two:

Bernard tomic vs Richard gasquet indian wells 2013 2r 1stset part-1

In the doubles, it's a good result for the Murray brothers, wildcards here, defeating the number 5 seeds & for Lopez/Raonic defeating the number 3 seeds.

Schedule of play for the 10th March:

It's nice to see Fish back. I am struggling to watch the matches at present - but my ones to watch are Davydenko / Del Potro; Petzchner / Nishikori; Lu / Klizan; Dolgopolov / Berlocq.

I'm scared for Fed against Godig. Godig is such a try-hard, and he serves like a madman.  :swoon:

I wouldn't worry too much about Dodig. He has a good serve but his game is pretty limited. I do respect Dodig because he is a fighter. He's made something out of nothing in his career. So, unless Rogi decides to brain fart Dodig shouldn't be a problem.  :gleam:

So many higher seeds losing to players they have a better H2H on top of it.

I see Murray got his game together, seems he takes awhile to get going.

At least I have confidence in Djokovic, even more than Federer.
Nole is just so good he can win on bad days.

Someone said Murray must not have moved his clock up for Daylight Savings time since he didn't wake up until he was down - what 5-1 in the first?  But he got through.  So far, the only 'top' casualty is Ferrer.

It's how Fed used to be in 2006.
Then we will fight in the shade.

When Fed lost a set back then there were threads about it, how could he lose, what happened to him etc.
People forget how dominant he was.

You're right.  When he lost a "SET" people would question "what's wrong with him?"...even though he would win the match.  People tend to have short memories. :rofl_2:

not impressed with Murray at all. He won't get too far with this pushing/grinding type of game. The Russian guy was very good but too inexperienced. I watched the match and it was so painful. Sure, maybe Andy is rusty but his 'tennis' was simply ugly  :\

I miss those days. When it's all over and done for Fed I have a feeling there will be so many documentaries about him.
It will be a very sad day for me, he gave me so many thrills and excitement through the years.
