Overheard.  Rogererer to Rafi:"Thank you sir, may I have another?"  What a beat down.
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

Congrats to Nadal fans. I didn't see anything wrong with his knees as he was running down everything. That's good news for his fans - particular as he heads to the clay. Primarily because he's great on that stuff and frankly there are not just that many (or any) "clay court specialist" any more that can challenge him.

For Roger - the good thing is that I know he can play better. And Alex - I'm not going to blame it on the back. He said in the press that he had a bad back against Stan too but because he won no one asked him about it then. So he said he's not going to talk about it tonight.

He's going to now take some time off to rest and then train for the clay.

I've always said that after Roger broke Pete's slam record and won the French  - everything afterwards has been "icing on the cake" and last year, particularly - I had a lot of icing!

I can't get upset over this loss. Nadal played great - Roger didn't - end of story.

Incredible rivalry. Two thumbs up. Kisses to Babbs. Muah!

Godblessya will now disappear into nothing as usual now that his main attraction is gone. Adios Amigo. You see, thatís the way his solar system works. Everything revolves around Federer and thereís no exception to the rule. Now that the big Star has collapsed leaving a very big black hole behind, it will take some time to form a new one.

Take your time, sweetheart and you do have some time. God really bless ya!..until next time then.

 :)~

This was expected. Roger wasn't even 50% - his movement was atrocious, wasn't able to stretch at all. Hope his two month break helps him recover and come back fully refreshed and raring to compete.

oh boy, Djokovic was ruthless. He didn't make any UE in the second set (12 winners, 0 UE). Tsonga was beyond helpful. Novak winning 90% first serve and 78% second serve points. just wow  :).

I'm really looking forward to the Murray/DP match. and people wake up, I want to see some action on this board  :gleam:.

Djokovic on a rampage. Very impressive indeed. Showed no signs of being weakened by the fall against Querrey, not that I expected he would but I saw others speculate he might.

I fully expect him to win this tournament, and Miami too. Clay season will be the challenge.

DelPo has to add a little more pace.

I meant to say I like to post here "during" matches.

But DelPo did up the pace and Murray broke down just a little.
On to the final set.

I'm really enjoying this match. DP takes the second set. the third one should be fun. I'm actually cheering for DP, because I don't love Emma any more (she dares  to show up here to just insult Gawdblessya, like wow, new low for Emma  :thumb-down:).  Go Juan  :yahoo:.

DelPo isn't using all power though still there at times, he's maturing as a player.

I guess Murray's rise to #2 will have to wait just a little bit longer.

I didn't think so  :rofl_2:. oh, that big mouth Emma, too funny ... I wish her brain was as big as her mouth  :zipped:

Anyway, DP really impressed me today. I'm afraid he won't be able to do much against Djokovic, but wish both players luck  :)

I guess Murray's rise to #2 will have to wait just a little bit longer.

Yes, he'll be #2 if he wins Miami. Any other result will postpone it further. I hope Federer can remain #2 for a few more weeks to insure the "Most weeks in the top-2" record. It is possible he has it already, but not certain - records for Ivan Lendl's early rankings are indefinite. I do not know when Lendl first ascended to #2. So Lendl has something between 409 and 420 weeks. Federer currently has 413, has now insured himself of 415 and will insure 418 if Murray fails to win Miami.

Wish Del Potro wins this now!

[But no, I don't think he can. Nole is the favourite by a mile.]

That thing is scary! :scared:
His serve is no joke either.
Still, I thought Andy (not Roddick) was going to gut this one out.  Oh well.
