There are some things to clear with first. Pasting images can be hard enough on users and I wanna be able to help more. MTF had a major disadvantage from the start, as the board supported html code but the Mods didn't want it enabled for some reason. But if I were to use html, I can save the rankings from Excel directly to webpage and paste it here, making the text inside selectable and usable. Also, maybe on your main site as well.

So, the question is, does this forum support html inside a post, or can such a feature be activated only in a section of the forum?

Hmmmm, you are asking someone who may run the forum but not know the answer to your question.  I have seen people post excel looking things in the forum.  You may know more about that kind of stuff than I do.  If you find it does not work, I will look into making it work.

So I searched if SMF forums allow html and this is the page I found:

Looks like BBC Code is allowed, I would have to check to see if I have it enabled, I do not see why I would not already.  By the link above it looks like limited html could be permitted but I am not 100% sure how to do that yet.  I bet I would need to copy and paste that code into a file somewhere.

Well, I don't wanna post Excel looking thingies, because the Excel file is so huge it cannot be opened inside a browser (yes, the browser says so if you attempt it). I wanna post html code inside a post and make the post actually parse it and use it as such.

There is only one example where this is used, if it helps. This:

Each table there is html in the reply, but the forum turns that into a table. T4U has a table tag as I can see, but it's limited to just 3 table key words. Those posts there use everything html uses.

Reading that I am convinced that it's not possible on SMF without code modification to the forums, so I answered my question. It will still have to be images.

Well, it doesn't really work, because the count of html tags supported by default is too low. Like I said, code needs to be changed for the forum, so you might as well turn it back off. I'll have some time tomorrow to populate the new section with the rankings, if you still want to do it.

Yes, you cannot post images that you made (unless in your avatar). However using a Photostack or Imageshack program, Clay Death is able to create images and make links for them on the web, and is able to post it using the "Insert Image" button. You can use the same program for a live rankings- you can make it on excel or a table, and then "snip" or take a picture of the table, and use one of the programs to create a postable link for it

Doesn't TF already have a user posting live rankings? It's not in their general section though, but I think that user does a good job.
