Yeah, Nole was simply destroyed strategically tonight. Such shot variety by Tommy was simply amazing to watch.

I hope he can keep the momentum and stay confident enough to get some more wins here.
Haas is too good, and too smart. It still surprises me that a player of his caliber didn't win a major to be honest with you.

Well I stopped asking that question long ago, simply because I realized how difficult it is to have so many injuries, and yet get back to top form. Being a Haas fan for so long, I would know why. His career has to be the most unlucky one in tennis imo.

Luckily I'm not glory hunter or support the 'popular' ones  :), so I don't feel so sad considering how he is an 'underachieved' player.
As I usually say, I'm just very happy to see him on courts still, smashing little yellow tennis balls.
I f-ing love that guy  :gleam:

Lug, I know are not a glory hunter. I picked Nole as my favorite player when 'nobody' knew anything about him. I just thought he was hilarious plus I loved the way he moves.

I came into the Haas - Djokovic match half way into the first set.  :shocking:

It was clear that Tommy Haas was playing way way better than I have ever seen him play before  :shakey:. It was also clear that Nole could not do much right.  That happens to all of us on occasion.  :dunno:  I thought Nole was very gracious and sportsmanlike in defeat.  :applause: It was more than a cold "good luck".

Everybody looked cold  :blue: even the chair umpire. This must have been a factor in that crazy night.  :insane:

I felt sorry for the small children who were stuck there  :( but it must have been great for the adults  :)). It was also good to be able to watch remotely from a warm bedroom .

It was an unusually satisfying match to watch. You could never be sure how it was going to end. Both were playing very well.

Could anyone have imagined the semifinals that would result from Murray also losing?  ..-)

Haas - Ferrer; Berdych - Cilic.

Or what about:

Simon - Melzer; Gasquet - Cilic.

Too much 'moonballing' if you asked me. I wanted to see some all out tennis from both, but I'll take that result anyday   ;-() Even I don't mind Almagro at all.

In any event, I think my man Richard Gasquet has arrived! No?

I get what you mean, but you do know I like Richard as well.
He just looked very passive at times, luckily for him Almagro has been very well known for giving away matches.
This one could have gone either way.

If Simon makes the final, I might cry. I don't dislike him really,  but watching him play really bores me. It would be awesome if Gasquet made it. I love watching him. His backhand is beautiful.

Rafa is the FIRST to qualify for WTF this year! :D

Just incredible display by Tommy, 6-3 1st set.

So many beautiful shots, chip and charges, awesome volleys, I'm taking the notes, as usual  :))
