really mad and sad day for me. f**k me that lucky lob decided the match.
Same thing as in Miami, Tommy simply couldn't hold when needed.

Madrid crowd don't deserve to have such quality matches. Talking right before Haas is about to hit the ball.

36winners 48UE's ratio is sick.
At 4-2 I really thought Haas has luck on his side this time, but Ferrer is one lucky rock solid wall who unfortunately won the match again.

Freaking gutted.

I heard the crowd during the serve motion at least once also but Haas ignored it.  :)>>>>

Haas has 'matured' over the years.

I'd throw racket at them for their tennis ignorance.

The crowd is pretty primitive in how they act.
The chair should have addressed the crowd not to yell during the serve.

Dimitrov is bossing Wawrinka.

They are talking about Dimitrov winning slams and being top 5 in a few years.
He could progress in that time, get stronger and fit so who knows.

This was the first game I saw Dimitrov looking really good, maybe Sharapova is giving him some pointers, she knows about all there is to know.

Tsonga-Wawrinka sounds like a cool QF. Match of tomorrow in my opinion.

Shame one had to go in Wawa-Dimitrov match, but I'm glad Stan won.
Same with Stan-Tsonga match. Still I like Wawrinka more. Hopefully he can win it.

I don't care, yes the French crowd is bad too. 186, come to Canada to Rogers Cup. The third oldest tournament in the world. you'll never see anything like in Spain or France. sorry, I'm disgusted.  The crowd in Canada is respectful to all players.

I could only watch the late evening matches yesterday, but have caught up with some that I missed.
Another "hopeful"  sees off a top player & this was an excellent result for Nishikori!  Congratulations to him for remaining focused against a lacklustre Federer. It was a poor 3rd set from Federer and any half way decent player would have beaten him, but I'm glad it was one of the players trying to come up in the game.  Having often wondered when the "hopefuls" were going to challenge the top players, Madrid has seen both the world number one & two ousted early.   :)

Nadal looks focused and settled out there, making short work of Youzhny.  He looks unassailable to me as I cannot see any realistic challenge for him.

Murray prevailed after a slow start & ought to be pleased that despite playing a mediocre game in the first set, he could take the momentum in the second set and remain focused to clinch the win. Simon put up a good effort, and in close matches such as this, it is a pity someone has to lose.

The match I enjoyed the most was Wawrinka/Dimitrov. Some quite superb tennis from both and exquisite use of the shbh.  Although GD went out, he should be proud of an excellent effort here, and hopefully capitalise upon it.   Good stuff from SW to get through.

I'm sorry Haas is out, as I could watch him play all day. But he encountered the relentless Ferrer, who  obviously prefers a spanking from Nadal!   :)  I like the fact that Haas is enjoying his tennis again - he is still in the doubles, with Stepanek.

I'm looking forward to today's competition.   It makes me smile that Andujar, a WC entry, is still in it & hope he gives Nishikori a good match.

So sad that they decided to start with WTA every day. That way I'm missing most of the matches every day. Badly scheduled IMO. :\
