Haase - Wawrinka - Almagro - Nadal for Murray? Well, at least the two in the middle will be tired from this weeks proceedings.

awesome super sig general sid. it captures his mom and his biggest fans: his mom, sean connery, and sir alex.

it also captures his finest moments forever and ever.

that slam meant so much to his mom. she had been waiting for that moment forever.

I always hate how all the good players have to play each other in the 1st round of Masters

Troicki-Nieminen looks like a good match for defensive tennis lovers

Most players are looking to escape the soaring tax rates in the Eurozone.
The climate and location are not to shabby either! :cloud 9:

^^^ It is just stunning, Monstertruck. I was last there in 2009, I love the place.

I see Djokovic is still listed, but wonder whether he'll actually play.
Still, there is a good field here & some good matches up early:

Klizan / Monaco
Dolgopolov / Tomic
Janowicz / Anderson
Goffin Almagro
Dodig / Paire
Kohlshrieber / Bellucci

Hopefully, good stuff.

It looks like Djokovic will play and I think he is a retard. he should rest, he doesn't need to defend his points there, he doesn't need MC and I see him exiting the tournament earl, by probably tanking. I also think he plays just to please the organizers, but whatever that's my conspiracy theory  :paper bag:

I'm looking forward to that potential Rafa/Murray match. It should be very interesting :)

Anyway, Nadal is winning MC one way or another.

Why should he rest?  Has he been playing too much?

He recently injured his ankle. Yeah, I don't see Nadal having too much trouble. I can see Djoker going out early and Murray will be worn out by the time he gets to Nadal. Plus, it's Nadal and it's clay and it's MC. Going for a record ninth in a row.

Rafa is the FIRST to qualify for WTF this year! :D

Isner will not have it easy against Gulbis, being tired and jetlagged after reaching the Houston F. I have him to lose that match. It very often happens you lose R1 next week, if you play then, after reaching a final the week before.

:rofl_2: No. Isner is not doing anything but vulturing MMs.

Anyway Novak should not have played ,since he is probably going to walkover anyway. They could have given a wild card to some low ranked guy or moved a qualifier into the main draw to replace him

Thanks Litotes ^^^. And those were the ones I'd have loved to have seen.   :)
I wouldn't mind but I subscribe to Tennistv.com & to Eurosport Player - and still can't see what I'd like to always.  Still, as you rightly point out, this early stage is often skipped.
