Time Between Points
« on: April 26, 2013, 05:57:40 AM »
She said they are taking up to 60 seconds between points.  Thoughts Jim?

I play USTA ladies double  tennis at the 4.0 level.   What is the ruling on talking between points?  One team in particular stop and converse  between almost every point.  I think they do it as a distraction technique but I cannot fins an exact answer on  how much time is allowed and how to best proceed.  Thanks.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

60 secs??? YIKES!  You have 20 secs between points!  Obviously there is no official at a league match so I would (at first) calmly and politely inform them of the rule.
I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg
