The Rivalry: Nole vs Nadal
« on: June 08, 2013, 06:09:39 PM »
will history record this as the greatest rivalry in the sport?

they have played a total of 35 times. nadal is up 20-15.

which direction do you see this rivalry going? I don't think nadal can beat nole on quicker courts with his current level of play.

I am giving the clay warrior one final year of domination on clay and then it ends: 2014. I think that is final year of devastation on clay.

so nadal could grab 2-3 more wins over nole on the red clay next year.

nole, on the ther hand, can keep racking up wins over nadal on faster/quicker surfaces.

only time will tell but what do you say now?

you have the floor. run with it and have fun.

and even bigger story for this amazing rivalry is their slam collection:

nadal should be able to grab his #12 tomorrow while nole has #6. so he is not far behind with at least 2 slams on hard courts each year.

how do you size up the slam picture between these two giants of the sport?

I believe Clay Death, this is the best rivalry I've ever seen. These two bring out the best out of each other. Even before Nole started his domination in 2011, Rafa wrote in his book that Novak was his most dangerous rival and the one he had to work hard to beat. So it's like he already knew Nole was his true nemesis. I just love their matches, they are really intense and gutsy, and the level of play is usually out of this world. I'm really happy to be living though this golden era. :)

we are at the chat section here. :)) :))

I agree: nole is the most dangerous player on the planet. his movement and his game is such that he can win on any surface.

nadal gives you 1/2 the damn court. nole gives you nothing.

what rivalry? Nadal owns everyone. it's just a matter of time when Rafa overtakes #1. Rafa owns everybody.
