Question: if Murray plays the French Open, do you think he deserves the 2nd seed? I June they don't deviate from the rankings, but I would seed them like this:
1. Nadal
2. Novak
3. Federer
4. Ferrer
5. Murray

I noticed Gulbis was not in the wildcard or in the player list.

Checking the qualifying he wasn't there either so I assume he'll skip RG.  :dunno:

Not sure Dallas, I looked at the qualifying list he wasn't there. Direct entry and he wasn't there.
Then went to wildcards given out and wasn't there.

Maybe just on omission on their part or I just made a mistake. :dunno:

I made the seeding with Wimbledon-like formula. With Wimbledon formula, you practically can get 4000 extra points at maximum. So, I doubled the points from RG, Madrid, and Rome, to give 4000 extra points at maximum. Here would be the seeding.

Code: [Select]
Seeding Ranking Diff.
1 1 Novak Djokovic 13700
2 4 Rafael Nadal 10895 +2
3 3 Roger Federer 9410
4 2 Andy Murray 9220 -2
5 5 David Ferrer 7820
6 6 Tomas Berdych 5600
7 7 Juan Martin Del Potro 4770
8 8 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 4345
9 11 Stanislas Wawrinka 3455 +2
10 9 Richard Gasquet 3370 -1
11 13 Nicolas Almagro 2905 +2
12 10 Janko Tipsarevic 2830 -2
13 12 Marin Cilic 2715 -1
14 14 Tommy Haas 2555
15 15 Kei Nishikori 2540
16 16 Milos Raonic 2370
17 17 Gilles Simon 2210
18 19 Juan Monaco 1985 +1
19 18 Philipp Kohlschreiber 1885 -1
20 26 Benoit Paire 1855 +6
21 21 John Isner 1790
22 23 Jerzy Janowicz 1765 +1
23 20 Sam Querrey 1760 -3
24 22 Andreas Seppi 1730 -2
25 25 Kevin Anderson 1690
26 24 Alexandr Dolgopolov 1610 -2
27 27 Jeremy Chardy 1551
28 28 Grigor Dimitrov 1535
29 29 Fabio Fognini 1490
30 31 Mikhail Youzhny 1490 +1
31 30 Florian Mayer 1385 -1
32 32 Julien Benneteau 1345

Marian Vajda to Novak Djokovic, "I saw you beat that man like I never saw no man get beat before, and the man KEPT COMING AFTER YOU! Now we don't need no man like that in our lives."

i demand french open to be renamed RAFAEL GARROS

Eventual winner of RG  2013 deserves an asterisk after all these top player withdrawals. ;)

Also, Spartan Stan Wawrinka confirmed he is going to Paris... he has a score to settle with No1e... ;)

Respectfully,

With Murray and Delpotro out, and Stan injured, I think the path is clear for Dimitrov. He has the skills and now he's got the luck of the draw on his side as well. The only people who can really bother him are Murray, Del Potro and Stan.

I don't know how far that would get Dimitrov but he isn't strong on endurance.
He has a long way to go to challenge the best and with his endurance problems a best of five on clay doesn't look to be his best chance to far.

Well the way I see it, Dimitrov owns Djokovic, who in turn owns Nadal, who in turn owns Federer - and between those three, they own everyone else. So logically, Dimitrov owns everyone. So he should be the favourite.

Delpo and Bellucci are officially OUT.

Bogomolov, Pospisil, or Darcis could get in if they lose in qualies.

negative general. nadal has a positive record against ALL of the top guns.

 :)) :))

and dimitrov has to show that he can do it in best of 5 sets foremats.

that is a lot harder assignment.

still I wish dynamitrov the best.

Dimitrov is a good player, is coming along well and is showing improvement.

I couldn't imagine how he could fight against the top guns for hours on clay.
Not just physical but mentally a huge battle.

Maybe next year.
