I like Sock's game and think he has potential.
GGL has been around but that doesn't guarantee wins over lower ranked players.
You'd be better off leaving the astro predicting to the Shankman Professor. :rofl_2:

I think so too. Guess I'm just not up to par with the great astro predictors. Back to dumb old logic and educated reasoning based on stupid numbers and figures documented from historical events.  :(

But I'll try once more: Goffin on serve against Djokovic, 3-4 in the first set. I think we're in for the upset of the tournament!!

Gotta admit, I still haven't seen Sock play.
With decent scheduling, hopefully Tommy vs Sock will be on camera court  ;-()

Would be amazing if Mahut can trouble Tipsarević.

Driven by the crowd and that lovely game could make me very happy  :))

I'm also a fan of Sock's game. Very similar to Roddick, who was my favorite player up until he retired. He's still really inconsistent, though. But as long as he plays well, he has the weapons to challenge some of the best.

Rafa is the FIRST to qualify for WTF this year! :D

Nole not to impressive but he got the job done. Goffin is pretty good, you can see his talent, but his biggest problem is inconsistency ... like  all other 'youngsters'. Djokovic too lethargic and disinterested at the time but even his C game is good enough to win this type of matches.

Good win for Pella over Dodig. I was able to see the end of the match.  The rain delays can completely mess up RG this year  :\. They should really get the freaking roof and some lights. It's embarrassing for a GS tournament.

Nice symmetrical win of Tursunov over Dolgopolov. 7-6(7) 6-4 7-6(7)  :king:

Goffin played well, but very one-dimensional. It's too hard to beat Djokovic just by out-baselining him.

Exactly. Even the over-traditional-obsessed Wimbledon has added a roof and lights to one of their stadiums. It's ridiculous that the French is still refusing to use either. Especially with how much damage rain did in the last few tournaments.

Djokovic was very well today, he can be the champion this year.

I thought he played an average match for him but he kept it to 3 sets, got some time on the surface and had to push himself at times.
This was a good match for him.

very average if not even bellow average. His FH was off, but he played big points better. Again kudos to Goffin, he played very well.

Monfils vs Gulbis should be good. GO MONFILS! I can see Mahut giving Tipsy trouble, but I don't think he'll win.

Kirilenko on Court 17?! That's awfully harsh. You'd think a 12 seed would be given higher priority over a bunch of random unseeded doubles teams.

Good interview with Tommy after his match today.
He was talking about his next opponent Sock.
Saying how he knows him and will try to use
slice to confuse the opponent and neutralize Sock's huge serve and fh.

Its sad that slice these days is mostly used as a defensive shot.
There are too many things you can do with slice and still dictate the point.
Not to mention chip and charge which is sadly such a rarity these days.

Tommy showed that already, especially in his match vs Djokovic in Miami. Koenig gave such a incredible inside, commenting Haas' variety and shot selection during the point.

Gulbis continues to impress but still he's not up there with the top players yet.

He may go far, I think he can make some trouble here at RG.  :king:

He's got some weapons that need to be honed.
I think he also needs to mature a bit, buckle down and get to work.
