No way. I Ferrer manages to def. Tsonga that would be horrible. I like Ferrer as a person but hate his game style. too much pushing etc. Tsonga all the way  :cheer: .

 :rofl_2:

That's not an argument! That's preference. I'm not a fan AT ALL of defensive play! I want every match ever played in tennis to look like Wawrinka-Gasquet.
yeah, I kinda jumped without reading your post completely  . I hope Jo will over power Ferrer. However, Ferrer might be a more difficult opponent than Fed. Ferrer is leading h2h 2:1 and he won the only match they played on clay back in 2010.

Ferrer will be more difficult, he looks in prime shape to run all day.

I think Ferrer takes this one but whatever the case it should be an unique match.

I honestly have no idea who will win. I feel like, for me, it's 50/50. They both have been playing extremely well, and I can see Tsonga powering past Ferrer, but I can also see Ferrer backboarding Tsonga until he mentally collapses.

Rafa is the FIRST to qualify for WTF this year! :D

Should be the match of the tournament. The case of Tsonga ballbashing himself into errors is not a strong one, since he has greatly improved his consistency. And Ferrer is not a pusher. He's underpowered, yes, but he knows how to play aggressive and run around his forehand to dictate the court.

Tsonga has no will to fight or ability to remain focused.

 :king:

Rafa.

Hopefully David takes the second set, always more interesting when the underdog takes the 2nd set, but it won't matter.

I didn't get to see the match but did follow the score online. I had given Tsonga slight edge to win but Tsonga couldn't even take any advantage in the TB. Given that he has better serves than Ferrer surely one would think he'd be able to get some free points? But no. That didn't happen. Instead he was soundly beaten by Ferrer there as well. Terrible stuff. He just got too comfortable after his big win over Federer and just wanted to bask in his recently glory. This is the reason why Tsgona will not rise to that level of the top four. Unless he prioratizes his goal and understands that Federer is actually not the main target, he'll stay there for a long time.

56 errors as opposed to Ferrer's 21? I'd say Tsonga was all over the place today. And the consistency was not at there. He was only able to push Ferere in one set  and even the TB was a total dominant affair by Ferrer. Ferrer got 5-1 up in a blink of an eye.

But I believe Tsonga just wasn't on today. The win over Federer got to him unfortunately. I wish Federer was in Ferrer qtr; that way we could have decided two things; one, if he was good enough to finally take Federer out; two, if that would have given Tsonga a place in the final. I guess we'll never find out now.

Congrats, herc. Your man is in the final again. Ferrer is no match for Nadal. I wonder how many people will actually show up to watch this match-up doesn't offer as much interest rivalry wise.

I hear this man is thinking about coming back to grass and in fact, will be playing at Queens. I have no idea who he is and is that grass I see?  :)~

I'm not predicting much.

It's easy for me to call a Tsonga match, though. That's all. I think the expectations for him get blown out of proportion and people lose perspective when he plays well. But it's not long lasting. He's like Almagro. They both hit the wall mentally and competitively, and they let the world know by their body language and facial expressions when that happens. And this was an awful matchup for Tsonga. As I mentioned, Roger and Tsonga are aggressive. It's not that big a deal when Tsonga beats Roger. Ferrer doesn't give Tsonga targets because of his court position. And Tsonga really has a very average BH.
