Sexy retires, Jerzy on to the next round.

Ok, he defends all his point from last year. It is earning point time.

Probably plays Almagro next.   DRAW

Federer is out. Jerzy should take this chance to make some good wins. Next is Almagro, hope he can beat him.  ://

Hey the streak had to stop some day.  Too bad it was at Wimbledon.  But that's the way things are.  I guess Murray vs Novak is 99% chance of happening now, but the way this Wimbledon has been going -- who knows what will happen next.

That should be good.            Feeling bad about Fed's loss though.

holly, what a performance from Stakhovsky has never def. a top 10 players before. fantastic net play, ROS very good, great serving .... my sympathy to Fed fans but the better player won today.

Don't feel bad for Roger.  He has done so much in tennis.  All the records he has....the grand slams...the consistency throughout the years...the leadership with the ATP..etc.  Roger has and will always be a great champion.  Like Chris said in the interview...as you get older, you'll still have good days, but you'll have many more bad days too.  On Roger's good day he can still beat anyone...but she said the older you get - the  more 'bad' days you have and you can lose.  His opponent said he played the absolute best he ever had and it still almost wasn't enough.  So hats off to Stakhovsky for this historic victory for him.  The sad thing about a loss like this (or rather a win like this for Stakhovsky) is that most of the times they can't back up this victory.  They put so much into the upset that the next round they come out flat.  It will be interesting to see if Stakhovsky can keep up playing like this or is this a 'one-time' lights out match.

less pressure for Murray, he has a clean path to the final now. Starkovsky is fluent in English, where did he grow up?

I think that's the best way to go Sid. :rofl_2:  This has been an unusual Wimbledon.  But so far Murray has looked pretty good and I see NO ONE on his side of the draw now that can 'touch him'.  (Of course, we didn't see this result either...) :rofl_2: I think Murray will be ok though.  Things seem to be working out in his favor for him to win this tournament.

I heard that.  Hadn't realized it until they said it.  Interesting, huh?

The way Wimbledon is going, we might have a 'new' name out there to win the whole thing!

How far down will Roger fall in the rankings?
If Berdych wins then Fed will go to #6.

Well that's ONE player I hope doesn't win.  Not that Roger will fall to #5, but that I just don't like Berdych! ..-)  I'm telling you...the way this Wimbledon is playing out... Serena, Novak, and Murray need to really be careful in their next matches!

Maybe more pressure for Murray, now he's expected to perform.

But whatever, the dark horses are lurking.

Dallas, I checked the rankings. Fed can drop as far as #6.  :(

Hmm, my favourites now are, in order:

Dimitrov
Gulbis
Murray
Djokovic
Berdych

I like Berdych, just not sure if he's a fitting champion. I want Murray to win this one now. I still can't digest the fact that Roger just lost in the second round of a grand slam, of WIMBLEDON. Maybe he should retire  :rofl_2:

It was such a fun match to watch though. Stakhovsky played some fun tennis. Alright England, let's strike a deal. Last year Federer took Wimbledon and Murray took USOpen. This year Federer is giving Murray Wimbledon so it's only fair that Murray allow Federer to take USOpen right?
