« on: July 01, 2013, 09:49:11 PM »

u.s. open is closer than you think. this whole year is going by so fast. lets get this party started.

we are having flushing meadows corona park open air 2013 u.s. open chats. join in on the fun.

who do you think is the heavy favorite now that you have seen them all in action on various surfaces.

I have got to believe that andy murray will be the heavy favorite to defend his title. especially if he can capture the Wimbledon crown.

what about roger and nadal after what happened at Wimbledon? don't they have something to prove?

tsonga, berdych, jerzy, and del potro are going to want the spotlight as well.

1. andy murray
2. roger
3. nole
4. del potro

General Herc and General Masterclass are getting old and delusional  :)~. The Emperor decided to demote you both. You new rank is called 'corporal'.
there is only One, The chosen One ... the King of Kings ... The Emperor Novak Cesar Djokovic. The sooner you except the reality the better you'll feel.

Sir Alex, I am not happy with the Serbian Slayer.   :mad1:

All year he has blown leads when up a break or getting near the end of the match.  Against non-top 10 guys it hasn't cost him a whole lot, but when he gets to the business end, he can't do that against the top guys without getting burned.  :hammer:

I don't know if he thinks he can just coast to the finish, or if he gets tight, or if he is feeling generous and just insists on giving other players a chance to get back in the match.

Let's continue to see what happens at Wimbledon.   :Boxing:

Respectfully,

and I am not happy with the clay warrior. unless he gets his sorry, lazy ass on clay ASAP he is headed for another first round or second round loss at the next slam.

I would think that now he has something to prove.

with the way roger and nadal are dropping in the rankings, are there any other possible semifinal scenario other than the usual "big 4" that we had become accustomed to?

nole and murray have to be loving this. no longer do they have to worry about getting chewed up by roger and nadal.

nadal seems least interested in working on his game and his fitness and it shows.

to be honest with you, I think that  Ferrer is the one who is benefiting the most from a Fed/Rafa slump. There is even a scenario that he could be ranked #2 after Wimbledon  :shocking:

ferru has been working very hard on his game and his fitness. the results were going to come in sooner or later.

lot of doors open for the others with roger and nadal farting around. you just have to be ready to pounce on these opportunities.

I have Djokovic and Murray as favourites. Their HC play deserves it, imo. Nadal and Federer should not be counted out, by any means, but I consider them less likely winners. Still more likely than anyone else, though. A healthy Del Potro, if we get to see that, would be my 5th pick for a title contender. Ferrer? No, I can't see him win, although I expect him to do well again. Tsonga? Berdych? Can't really see them win either.
Janowicz I think will falter badly. He has done very well in Wimby and history tells ut such slam breakthroughs are often followed by a letdown. But he will return stronger later.

The Emperor, as in Alex, loves to shoot blanks behind the screen. Maybe one of these days he'll become a real man.

But why oh why herc such an early talk of US Open when we only got the qtr-finals done?

coz General Herc loves them.

As for me being a real man, nah. I prefer my metro status. I like wearing expensive suits ($1500,00 and up) and, above all, expensive shoes (none of my shoes cost less than $500,00, all hand made and imported from England and Italy). My socks are made&imported from England, $50 on average. I rock the world  :rasta:

I get ten pair of socks for ten bucks.

I buy 20 at time, all the same then I don't have to worry about matching socks.

I hope Fed can make the quarters.
Then we will fight in the shade.
