Good grief...Vinciguerra

He's like the Swedish Brian Baker without a happy ending.

blah, what's a tournament without Nole, Fed, Rafa and Muzza? not interested at all . I want to watch only GS finals and only if Djokovic is involved  :tease: :)~

Ah! So it wasn't just me hallucinating - the tournament thread did disappear!

I wrote this in the Stuttgart thread-belongs here:

"What's happened to the Bastad thread?   How Bizzare - it seems to have dusappeared.

Anyway, Dimitrov just broke Verdasco & is holding his game easily. 40-0.  Hang on, change that to he is doing his best to get broken!   Verdasco overhits & GD holds to go even 4-4 in the 3rd set.

FV holds, so its crucial for GD to do so too."

And FV wins 7-5.    Good for him to get to another ATP final.

I didn't see the whole match, but it was a well contested. GD has a beautiful game - I hope he can translate it into a title winningone soon.

Cheers, Lugburz.

Berlocq beat De Bakker 75,63.

Berlocq has never won an ATP title & I hope he doesn't let the pressure get to him, and can do it here. That said, Verdasco hasn't won a title since 2010, so this is an important chance for him to win.

The other thread disappeared? How strange. Seems like other things has disappeared too. Oh well. The final is all that's left. My money is on Verdasco, but I'm hoping for Berlocq.

Well since Alex is banned I'm sure it has got something to do with it since he created Bastad thread after this initial thread.
As for other threads, well Herc took them away with him.

Palermo!!!

Final Errani v Vinci #1 doubles team

of course, they're best friends and enjoy playing one another as much as the Williams sisters like playing one another.

Berlocq-Verdasco final  :) That sounds like fun. Berlocq, or "Warlocq", is well known for his fighting spirit, but I feel Verdasco is still the favorite.  :)

Verdasco really likes his new stick. Been playing well since he switched to Babolat.

Verdasco has come from the ashes. I don't know what got into him but he's showing some good fight and tennis just lately.

Close contest in this first set.  Vedasco serving at 5-6 to try & hold.  But Berlocq (aged 30!!) really aggressive, going for everything & breaking to take the set!
Some good exchanges at the net in that last game - good fun.

I wonder of FV is put off by that incessant grunting by CB??  No, I suspect it's the aggressive tennis he is facing here!  :))

Well, that was an outstanding performance by CB - he wins 6-1.  His first ATP title at 30 years of age, an unseeded entrant - great story! Well done to him.
FV looking miffed, he played well to get to the final but was truly outplayed today.

I didn't much time on this tournament but thought Berdych would win it.  It was a revelation to see De Bakker play with such conviction against him.  Verdasco & Berlocq too have been interesting to watch.
