Changes are always good and that's why they happen in the first place. For example, if you get flooded then that would mean something needs to change so that you don't face this situation again. And there are some changes that are inevitable (in fact, all changes are inevitable since the very nature of our Universe is to evolve continuously). Technology for instance, is never going to stop evolving. It will eventually take tennis to a higher level (or anything for that matter) and you can still get stuck in the 80s if you feel like it and if you have the luxury for it, but it will not stop just for you. Adapting to any new changes/conditions is a great skill in fact. You can certainly complain about it and nonstop too, but those who adapt it faster are the ones who are comfortable with the changes and of course, they are also far superior to others who couldn't. Tennis, the game itself, will evolve and grow whether that suits your taste or not.
