It's complicated. Racket type, string type, string tension, adding weight etc.
Then the players style which takes advantage of different combinations.
 
Then a player may change his style a little and find the combination isn't exactly right for the new style.
 
 
Some look for years with different combinations to find the "perfect" setup.

in my humble opinion, Roger should concentrate more on serving big, he cannot improve his movement that much since he is getting older.  He would save more energy by hitting more aces  :))
