Martina Hingis' getting divorce?
« on: July 16, 2013, 11:46:11 PM »
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/15/martina-hingis_n_3600586.html

The story continues for Martina:

"Tennis star Martina Hingis: serial adulterer?

That's the claim her estranged husband Thibault Hutin, a French equestrian, is making. Late last week -- just before Hingis was inducted in the Tennis Hall Of Fame -- Hutin reportedly told Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick that the sports star, who retired in 2007, had cheated on him several times throughout their two year marriage.

“A year after the wedding [...] we were supposed to meet in New York and I wanted to give her a surprise," he reportedly told the paper (via the London Evening Standard). “Upon arriving at the hotel room it was me that was surprised, because Martina was not alone.”

He continued: “Martina has a very personal conception of morality. She has always been like that; I think she has always been unfaithful to her boyfriends.”

But are the reports true? Only time will tell, and so far, Hingis has not responded to the accusations.

The pair reportedly split earlier this year, though Hutin claims he only recently found out about their separation.

The pair married in December 2010 after a whirlwind romance.

i believe what the hubby said, if she did not so why, why didn't she issue a statement to deny?  And given her wealth, she could sue him if what he said was fake

i can't even remember how many boy friends she got before she married, at least more than 10  :innocent:

People give it no thought and no one is telling us otherwise, but the fact of the matter is some people aren't wired for marriage. Me getting married would have been a colossal mistake. The sooner people learn this about themselves the better place the world will be. Fortunately, she doesn't have children because mistake of this order are multi-generational. Like many things, it's harder for women. Women are supposed to be married and bear children.

it's true and it's sad at the same time. I'm talking about what our society expects you to be or behave this or that way.

an older guy dating a younger woman ... hey he is a stud. an older woman dating a younger guy is a cougar.

double standards. Martina is still a young woman. It's her choice to have kids or get married as many times as she wants to.

Boy you got that right.
I'd give up one of my ProStaffs for the years I wasted on my first go round.  Live and learn.

you can play around if you are single, but if you got married, you are committed to ONE person, so being a play girl as Hingis, she should never get married. ://

mimi, just so you know over 50% of people who get married in North America get divorced.

I do believe in loving that ONE, but it doesn't always work out   :)

It is hard to maintain a marriage, actually it is hard just to live together.  Loving a person does not mean you can live with that person.   Every person has his own living habits, sometimes it would be hard for the other one to get used to.  For example, one of my friends is a "clean maniac" (don't know it in English), every time when we go travel together, she would use up all the tissues in the hotel room in less than 2 hours, piling the washing basin with buddles that are as high as several inches (i am not exagerrating)after she cleaned her hands.  Waking up in the middle of the night and arranged her stuff, making lots of noises etc etfc.  I am not sure if I were her hubby (she does not have any at the moment though), I could stand living with her  :)~

Other than Aga, there's no one who is of her size/power who's successful these days. Success obviously being relative to Hingis's own standards. I think she'd be on the lower side of top 10 at best, and if I'm not wrong that's where she ended up when she returned to tour couple years ago.
