I'll be at this one again and also at the Citi Open here in Washington next week. I'm looking forward to both. The line up for Washington is unusually good this year.

1st round matches I mustn't miss!

[WC] Blake - [16] Janowicz Old school vs brand new offensive game. Like them both, but C'mon Blake!

[10] Nishikori - Lopez Should be privileged we can still see some S&V, so this is a must.

Kohlschreiber - Fish Good to see Fishy back after health issues, hope he sticks around. Auf Geht's Kohli.

Anderson - [11] Haas
Still my fingers crossed for Hasi that his injury in Montreal was just a precaution and nothing serious.

[13] Almagro - Dimitrov Wonderful match-up, rooting for Dimitrov, but let the best one hander win!

Seppi - [9] Wawrinka Stanley, screw clay you can do it on on HC as well!

Gulbis - Youzhny Joy to watch both when on. Lot of variety to be seen here!
In the absence of light, darkness prevails!

Arrived safely here at Cincy  :)) . 8 hours 15 minutes, the extra 15 minutes being due to roadwork ouside Columbus :mad1: . This trip is becoming almost routine.

I'll probably get out to the tennis later today.

Hi Alex,

I don't take photos but I'll let people know what I see.

I did not get out to the courts soon enough to save Bernard Tomic.  :scared:

I can't believe that Ginepri def. that silly kid Tomic. I thought Ginepri was retired. I'm still puzzled why Tomic went to Cinci, got a WC and wasted it.

:)) I love seeing Tomic lose! Looking forward to Blake vs Jerzy and Seppi vs. Wawrinka. When Blake's on, he's a lot of fun to watch so I hope he's on and we can see an awesome shootout. Same with Wawrinka. When he's on and hitting that backhand, I love watching him. Hopefully we can see something similar to that AO match he had against Nole. The first set was by far the best I'd ever seen him play and it was a heck of a lot of fun to watch.

Rafa is the FIRST to qualify for WTF this year! :D

Interesting tennis starts here at 11am so I am catching up with the neighborhood and getting supplies in before going over. It is about a 15 minute walk but the car is always an option if the weather looks bad.

As many know, the tennis center is close to some nearby amusement parks and the local motels and stores have adjusted accordingly. There are several "family" restaurants, convenience stores, fast food chains nearby, as well as a good supermarket and a branch of my bank. Not much high life around. More of it at the tennis center where I expect to be greeted by a "good to see you back again" from the guy tending bar and to see several old friends. I have learned to bring my own bottle of Jameson's for consolation back at the motel when I don't like the outcome of a particular tennis match.

I'm excited for this tourney! After Rafa has done so well at Canada this year, I expect him to do well in Cincy as well! If he can win Cincy, he'll only have two left!  :)>>>>

If Roger doesn't win this (or do well)...he could fall behind Berdych and Del Potro in the rankings.  I hope he does well though.  GO ROGER!

I was feeling the heat a bit and came back to the motel. I also wanted to see the Canadian final.
I'm glad I did.

I sat through most of the Goffin-Ginepri match. Goffin won 6-4, -2 Goffin lost to Tomic in Washington and I wonder what would have happened if Tomic had beat Ginepri yesterday. Tomic does have an annoying game for some. Karlovic also lost.

Lots of people on the practice courts. Always good to watch Del Potro slam one ground stroke after the other. Sharapova had a hit session supervised by new coach Jimmy Connors. The shrieks are still there but fortunately the volume is turned way down.

Not sure if I'll go back tonight. Ryan Harrison is playing Bogomolov.
He should have no problems there but you never know.

Correction: He's playing Dolgopolov, Now that will be worth seeing!!  :lmao:
