Baghdatis has a good game but the same old problem of consistency. Isner did well to keep focused & get the edge. He is playing well at present & continues his run.

I've just logged on to start watching Haas / Dimitrov & already, what a treat. The comms mention the artistry in evidence.   And GD just played the most incredible shot at an angle! And again!  Genius shot, says the comm. And I agree.  This is tennis.

Ditto that!  What a backhand from Haas to get it to deuce!

Edit:  And he holds after having break point against him.

Look at these sublime single handed backhands.

GD with some ue's, and Haas with the better play in the tb, serving well too. Good job to get the first set under his belt.

How's Haas looking to you, Lugburz?

Pretty good, a bit sloppy on the topspin bh but slices and the rest is pretty good so far.
Not his best but definitely better than what I've seen so far here in Wash.

Tommy's more consistent on shots, should take the momentum. Grigor seems to be a bit down atm..

They're level at 3-3. Neither seems to be playing free - a bit cautious.

Thanks for your take on TH, Lugburz.  He's certainly moving & serving well.

GD has these flashes of brilliance & then seems to go quiet.   I agree that TH has the momentum.

Yep, quality dropped a bit but it will be interesting to see who's gonna put some pressure on opponents serve. So far pretty easy holds by both.
