What do you guys think? Should Nadal tank now or use some injury excuse and rest for the USO, according to some ppl he's starting to look tired  :confused1: ..........

I think he should go all the way.  The reward vs. risk is too great.  The top players have exited...  His toughest match is behind him. Not many times will he have the fortune to be able to play a semi or final without facing a top 4 player.  It's only best of 3 sets.

Berdych hasn't been a threat to him since Madrid, 2006.  I think Rafa has a hex on him since, winning 13 straight matches, dropping only a single set in the 2012 AO.

After Berdych he would face either Del Potro or Isner in the final.  Though either of those players might have a small chance, Nadal would be the favorite.

Nadal takes this title and he is #2 again, and no possible Djokovic battle till a final.
And he will have over a week's rest to the USO.

What Rafa has to avoid on hard courts is a long battle with long rallies.  That will do him in.
And he avoided it nicely in Montreal by playing a very aggressive match against Djokovic.  Neither of the remaining players in Cincinnati is likely to play long points against Nadal.

Respectfully,

OMG!!!! Didn't notice Isner beat Nole I was following the live commentary and I saw someone said Isner wasted 6 bps and was starting to look kaput and after that most people said gsm Nole  :rofl_2: ........

hmmm  yes, those 2 guys might be easier to handle for Nadal........ who said Nadal taught him how to beat Berdych? Fognini?  :rofl_2:
