The fittest and strongest is Nadal.

Seconded by Nole, and then Murray.

Federer is not Top 4 anymore, so...

I did not get to see the andy murray match.

I knew Leonardo mayer was stronger off the ground than llodra. so he provided a better test than the Frenchman.

also llodra is getting up in age. I am not sure how effective he is now.

Hello you 2.

For me it is an even lazier day today. I still can't go to the gym because of the antibiotics so my Sundays are useless.

Hope you have a speedy recovery and exploit Sundays to their full potential soon. :gleam:

I am currently teaching my rankings thing to calculate rankings for a full year by itself. :))

morning nikki, general slasher, betty, general nekro, and the others.

the antibiotics will get you well now in no time nikki. hope you feel better fast.

I continue to suffer from the damn allergy situation. Claritin is not helping.

I may have to try some other type of antihistamine.

folks I took a quick look at the first 2 sets of the nadal match.

I have to say that I was not overly impressed. who the hell is dodig exactly anyway? this was not exactly a great victory.

26 unforced errrors against an opponent who offered zero challenge.

I can tell you my biggest concerns for nadal:

1. I still don't thing he is returning well enough. he will have to return a lot better in the final

2. the backhand. it is slowly improving but he still lacks some confidence in it.

3. court positioning. he is retreating again a little bit

now he is lucky that he only has to deal with murray or nole in the final and not both of them back to back.

I think nole is slightly shaken against andy so that is not an easy match for him (nole). andy might prevail in a 4-5 hour battle.

and then nadal should be able to pick off andy in the final but he will have to play a great match.

Good luck against your allergies, General. Knock them out. :gleam:

As for Nadal, he played enough against Dodig. He doesn't have to give his maximum against such players, doesn't have to waste too much energy. Let's not forget that he's playing on hard court and his health demands him not to overexert himself. That's the strategy. When he'll face more powerful opponents, he can risk some more.

affirmative general slasher. that is a good point.

he knew he was going to win so he took a few extra chances as well. why not try a few things when you know you have a few extra gears.

that may explain the 26 unforced errors.

I will try Claritin for another day and then try something else.

I think it is because I am usually out all day. I am usually not affected but this year I am.

Of course, I'm looking forward to the match but I'm pretty sure the outcome won't be the one I would like to see.

You should try another allergy medication. I always have to change mine after a while because it stops working.

Ahhhh, Mostar... Actually I have to decide between going back to Bosnia in October or going on a trip to Georgia (the country, not the US state) with a friend of mine. Both options sound way too tempting.
