I've been watching Robredo-Matosevic. Not bad. Tommy up 2-1 sets.

Holy crap criers!

Was that an especially awful opening ceremony or are they all that awful every year?  ..-)

I wonder if Davydenko will lose R2 on purpose, just to keep the 6-5 lead over Nadal. It just seems too good to be true that Nadal will finally get the chance to tie it. And Dodig is pretty good anyway, might beat Davydenko.

It was funny when the commentators were talking about the new roof being built and said the upgrade allows the United States Tennis Open to remain the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world!  :rofl_2:

“It is not too far way,” Toni Nadal told The Australian after Nadal collected the 13th major of his career by mowing down Novak Djokovic in an electrifying final of the US Open. “It is getting very, very close for Rafa to be level with Roger or more.”

See, we didn't have to separate the men and women.

Ernests being Ernests again  :ZZZZZ)

Such a shame. I guess some people will never change. Just like how Young will always be Young. I laughed when someone called him a veteran at the qualifiers of tournaments.

Murray is crazy-humble. I saw him get out of the car and there was a really short child standing on the pathway, and Murray stopped walking and signed his giant tennis ball. Just the way Murray did it was really genuine, he signed it very slowly, looked straight at the kid and said something. Whereas most of the tennis players don't say anything and are in a rush. Murray maybe the most humble tennis player ever?

Shut up, you whiny Canuck. Posipil was on his way out to some joker named Dutra Silva before the rain came. I don't even understand your complaint, anyway.

I just feel whiny tonight  :)~. As for Vasek, it's a tragedy. He was  2 sets up, lost the 3rd.  and down 0:4 in 4th ... He is super talented ... He must win, or else  :ranting:

Really young players don't fare well when they're pushed beyond 3 sets for, in some cases, the first time in their careers. That was a long 3 sets before he hit the wall. Wasn't likely to recover. Now I expect he'll go and win. Caught a huge break.

Good to hear, I hope Federer's schedule is messed up throughout the first 4 rounds, because I miss the days when Nadal only conceded 4 games in the entire match (2008 French Open Final). It would be great to see such a positively smashing result like that again.

Glad to see Gulbis going out again!   :))  OH CRAP! I forgot to tape the matches today!!! Thank goodness I have DirectTV on my phone. (I feel like I just sounded like I was in a commercial).

Anyways, looking forward to seeing how Sock, Baker, Isner, and Querrey do. GO AMERICANS!

Rafa is the FIRST to qualify for WTF this year! :D

He's very inconsistent.  Don't know if he will ever 'get it together'.  And personally, I don't like his personality either, but that's just me.  He just goes hot and cold in his tennis.  Sometimes like he's just not there.  Oh well...
