Camila has been on my radar but this was my first look at her game. Now everyone has seen her. What a debut and on Ashe no less.

Please don't tell anyone, but I watched almost half of that match.
Nice to see a qualifier bring it against Woz.

Sloane = Jankovic without GS finals or #1 ranking.

I'm trying to think of where her titles will come from...???

I think Sloane has a little more power than Jankovic.  Plus, remember she just turned 20!  So hopefully she will continue to improve.

On the women's matches going on right now... wow...what a shock (so far) in the Radwanska match!

Lug, check out Giorgi, 21yo Italian girl, very talented. Li Na is good too, getting older though ...

Li Na came very aggressive. JJ is waking up, got one break back.

Yeah I've seen Giorgi, she's good.
I guess Ana can be pretty straight forward when she's on.

Ana was my favorite at some moment (OK, I admit I picked her because she is so pretty) but when she got famous for all kinda wrong reasons I stopped following the WTA. She is doing OK for now, but you just never know with her nowadays.

JJ is beyodn pathetic. this was a waste of my time. She is not moving as well and she used to. Her serve is non existent .... Li Na wins 6:3 6:0  ..-).

A. Radwanska is out too. wow. Kudos to Makarova.

I didn't see that coming... but congrats to Makarova.  She took it to Radwanska.  I still think it'll come down to Serena vs Victoria....but with the way upsets are going in this tournament for the women, who knows!  I hope they both get there (or at least one of them)...  But I like Li Na too.

OK, I didn't realize Sloane has such a big serve. 119 today vs Serena.

I still picture her as a baseline road runner. I guess she's got some pop after all.

I have to say, at 6-4, 4-1 this is probably the best womens match of the tournament. I'd say easily.

Jankovic is like Wozniacki. Sloane is the right balance of power and movement.
“It is not too far way,” Toni Nadal told The Australian after Nadal collected the 13th major of his career by mowing down Novak Djokovic in an electrifying final of the US Open. “It is getting very, very close for Rafa to be level with Roger or more.”

Luck of the draw -- or rather, unluck of the draw for Sloane.  If she had played anyone else, she might still be in the tournament.  I think her game is on the right track, and from all the other "young Americans", I have to say I like her game more than the rest of them.  (Now if she would only get her head together in some of the 'not-so-important' matches, she could go somewhere!)
