During Serena's SF match, they were commenting on the fact that Serena will be 32 years old and Roger is 32, but Serena's level is higher than Roger's at the same age. Then they mentioned that Serena was completing over 600 matches....meanwhile, Roger had over 1,100 matches. That's a big discrepancy!
Also, after she won #17, they said she has caught up with Roger. I don't think they should compare the Women's Slam vs Men. Serena still hasn't caught up to the top person with the total number of slams for the women; however, the total for the men use to be 14 so that number was lower than the women's total showing how hard it was for the men to do best of 5 over their career and to get those career numbers up!
I'm proud of what Serena has accomplished. But I'm also proud of what Roger has accomplished. I don't think these 2 should be compared. They deserve to stand on their individuality...their own merit!
