I am a tennis fan, but a huge player fan also.  Enjoyed the heck out of federer for quite some time, and then Nadal's game won me over with his heart.  I can watch any match, but having a player or two that I follow extra tight makes things a bit more exciting.

As for my own game.

Well I have two kids in the past few years and gained some weight.   :rofl_2: :rofl_2:

Not much tennis being played unfortunately.  Though I got my two kids (3 and 1) out on the court a few times this summer to have some fun.  I dont think even the older one ever hit it even once over the net, but at least they had fun running around chasing the ball with a racquet in their hand.

I hope I belong in those 'many others'  ..-) cause we really had  a blast many times bud.

All I can say all the best to you if that's your final decision. I hope we can see you again sometimes though.

I'm one of those who get your sense of humor but if I'm to be completely honest  you did cross the line few times, but it's ok we all make mistakes. And yeah I partly agree t4u has changed a bit.

Gl and all the best.

I really don't know what went down here, I've been MIA for a while myself.. Alex, I understand you're frustrated that Novak will never be as good as Federer but that's no reason to leave!!  :)~

Just messin'. Like I said I don't know who or what went down here but I really hope you have a change of heart and return. I am really glad some other posters have returned or are posting more often but it's no fun when people who're part of the T4U family leave. We might have our 'fights' and the people we like or don't like but in the end when I think of T4U I think of everyone and the experience together. The variety of characters and characteristics of each person, the annoying moments, the comments that make my blood boil, and also the comments that crack me up or get me thinking, and *gasp* even the tennis related discussions - it's all part and parcel and it wouldn't be complete if all of it wasn't there.

It's an internet forum, we can take breaks if we feel overwhelmed for a while but you know if you've been here for 7 years you clearly like it here, so I hope we can all take our deep breaths and get back to being ourselves and enjoying the things that we enjoy and ignoring the things that we don't. And entertaining the folks we do  :)

And honestly, it sucks but Federer will always be  :king:

Watch out, if Rafa takes the AO...  17 becomes much more feasible.

A double AMEN!  My 16 yr old son played varsity tennis for his high school as a frosh and soph.  2/3 way thru his soph season (April 2013) he had to shut it down due to 4 stress fractures in his lower back.  He was told to do NOTHING for 4.5 months!  He then went thru physical therapy and we started back up again about 6 weeks ago and we are on the courts 3-4 times a week trying to get him ready for his junior season next spring.  Love doing this way more than trying to make sure my game is in shape, altho the side effect for me is that he is now good enough that I get a good practice in also.

I was at this casino minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, "You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit." As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammible and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.  - Mitch Hedberg

Happy for the Jamesdster that he is back on the court with his son.  That is until Wednesday when I have to play Jamesdster and hurt him so bad he will need a year off.  Then I will feel bad for him.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

Seven years is a long time.

Things were handled terribly, some of the most low level thinking I've seen in awhile.  :rofl_2:

I'll stop by MTF now and then.

Hi Alex,

Please change your mind!

I will miss you if you leave.

I probably the one they pick on if you go!  Oh no!  Stay here and get banned again!  Why not! Better that they ban you then you quitting!  It like getting penalized in NFL or NHL!  If you quit the moderators will try to find someone else to ban and it might be me instead of you - their favorite!

I don't want to get banned!  You should stay until you get banned again and we all can feel for you and write post on you getting ban and if it was for cause or not, etc...

Come on now...... getting ban is not that bad!
Harry
