TENNIS ISLAND Forehand volley elbow in

Improve your forehand volley with this exercise! Coach stands next to the player and keeps racquet in front of him. Player's goal is to shadow forehand volley and to move elbow towards the racquet (elbow in).

At first I wondered abooot the grip.
Then I noticed negligible shoulder turn.
Is this something new and did I miss the boat?

Grip is definitely continental. Goal of the exercise is to learn how to keep short motion and move elbow in. I agree with you that shoulder turn could be better:)
