Guess who Babblelot picks as Lendl's successor?
« on: April 11, 2014, 12:14:47 PM »
So Tennis.com is asking, "Who should Andy select for his new coach?" They say Paul Anacone. Can you guess who I picked?

HA!!! Got my first meaningful RT (retweet). Jonathan Scott is the Tennis.com scribe who wrote the article. He RT'd it to Tennis.com but made one significant change. He replaced @darren_cahill with Cahill because he didn't want to RT it to Cahill.

I don't think Cahill wants to coach.

Oh I know that, Dallas! I just saw an opportunity to take another shot at Cahill and took it. I play offense and force him to defend.

Mission accomplished :D

You're having fun smacking those guys around, aren't you?

Who the hell would want to coach Andy (not Roddick) anyhow?

And Connors, who helped Roddick get to his last 2 finals by playing more aggressively. The thing is, though Murray's physical upside is higher than Roddick's,  Roddick's ten fold the risk taker Murray is.

Murray needs someone who will stand up to him and when he barks at them....they can bark right back.  Lendl was one.  Don't know who else.

I think he did that out of respect. His problem is, he doesn't respect anyone else: not his friends, or his mother, or BG. He's just going to bark at the next person when he starts to struggle. That, or he's lost motivation. Maybe he's realized that being the first Brit to win something in +70 years is worth more than he expected and he's satisfied. In any event, I don't see him doing well for a while.

I think you're selling Roddick short here. ;-()
