I really like Svedova. Saw she was down a break early and figured it was going to be a route.

Hewitt advances. Haase, not very good.

According to the Australian papers, it was Hewitt's 600th career win  :applause:. On the dark side, Tomic crashed in record time against Nieminen at 28min 20sec, the shortest ever in the ATP by a minute.  :(

Dallas was pretty nervous about this one because Karlovic's game is unorthodox and he's always dangerous to pull off the upset. So she's very happy about the way he played today, and very proud of him.

She says, Go Roger!

In contrast to IW, this is the first women's match of the day. :H

Of course, IW didn't have a line up like this: Fed, Djokovic, and Murray  :rofl_2:

Chardy was playing pretty well against Novak but rolled an ankle in the middle of the 2nd set and ret.

Gulbis already smashed a racquet. What will he come up with now after failing to serve out. Back on serve, Benneteau 4-5 3rd set

They said a couple of games ago Gulbis screamed "I'm done."  :rofl_2:

Benneteau breaks and will serve for the match at 6-5. JB breaks Gulbis 2x in a row.

As always with Gulbis, it was an entertaining match   :rofl_2: :)). Pity he did not win it but Benneteau really came good in the third set and got past all the theater.

It was funny for sure. But I didn't hear him say, "I'm done!" while he was still ahead. Somewhat reminiscent of what Gaston Gaudio said in 2005 when he was defending his RG title.

"Don't worry. You'll win today," he told Ferrer's coach, sitting in the stands. For Gaudio, the words proved painfully prophetic. He blew a 4-0 lead in the final set and lost.   :rofl_2:

Anyway, anytime your state of mind is reminiscent of Gaudio, that's not good.

I thought that's what he said but it didn't make sense at the time but he was right this time.  :rofl_2:

Pennetta - Ivanovic is a great WTA match for a change.

Lotsa bombs away especially by Ana.

Probably my 2 fave players atm.
