I would not be surprised if we learn Rafa has mono. That's no joke. I've never seen such a bizarre game plan of mostly waiting for Almagro to lose.

What is Gulbis still doing in the tournament?
He's been hanging around silently.

Very strange tournament because Nikishori is in the semis, too. Should check Rafa's comments. My guess is everything was changed and it's playing a lot faster this year.  :))

Looks like Nico still can't believe he beat Nadal.

Should Nadal be concerned about the French?  It wasn't such a shock when he lost in Monte Carlo but Barcelona???  That was a shock to me.  Seems like his confidence isn't where is usually is on clay.  I guess streaks are meant to be snapped eventually.

This was a weird tournament.

Dallas - what was weirder is Nadal's ridiculous dominance of the premier clay events from 2005-2013. Hell by 2010 it was already historic domination, than he added 3 more seasons(2011-2013) for good measure. We will never see his like again on clay.

Then we will fight in the shade.

'Im kind of glad his dominance is over (I hope). But the pressure he put himself (or we put him under) year after year on clay was monumental. We thought something was wrong with him if he even lost a "SET"....To be that dominate year after year on this service is a testament that we will probably never see again.  I'm not a fan of Nadal's, but I admire what he's done in tennis.

Not buying.

Best of 3 is not at all a predictor of Best of 5.

I've counted him out 1000 +1 times and have been wrong each time.

That being said, his performance against Almagro was bizarre. If it comes out that he has mono, I wouldn't be surprise. Otherwise, I'm not buying into the hype and I do not pay attention to bookmakers.

Whatever the match I admire the mental ability of the players.  Just imagine having in play in front of such huge audiences, let alone be beamed around the world!

She's not.  Roger's sister, by the way, also had twins about 3 years ago!  It just runs in their family!

It has to be hard to block all that out and play, even the headcases, chokers and others do well considering the circumstances.
