Andy Murrays spectacular leap to 70 in the world rankings isn't just a notable achievement for a British player. It's an outstanding feat by any standards. At the start of the year Murray was no 441. As of 26th Oct he has risen by a massive 341 places to no 70.

The years biggets movers in the ATP top 100.
1) Robin Vik, Czech Republic 437 - 76 =361
2)Andy Murray GB 411 - 70 =341
3)Gael Monfils France 231 - 45 =186
4)Florent Serra France 204 - 55 =149
5)Ivo Minar Czech Republic 183 - 73 =110

Murray is extremely unimpressive in my opinion. He will never ever ever ever ever win a slam. I saw him play at the US Open this year, and I was unimpressed.

Andy's got a great game and I think he will make us proud and win atleast 1 Grand Slam for our country- I wouldn't bet against him picking up more.

Andrew Murray is IMO a sheep qua looks, but his game is pretty interesting.
He plays a tactical game and it's pretty fun to watch. Americans wont like his play, due to it being too slow and thus, uninteresting.

He looks good...until he plays a 5 setter. Hard to win a slam if you continue to cramp in the later stages of a best of 5 match. But I wouldn't write him off; he just needs to work on his fitness.

So the reason many Americans I know like Roger Federer is because of his fast paced non-tactical go for winner off every shot game? I for one prefer to watch and play the tactical game. I think most people's issue with Murrary is all the hype he recieves with no results to show why he deserves it. There are many more up and comers that are allot more promising than Murrary. I'm curious to see when the players figure out his game just what will become of him.
Ralphie: I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle!

Mrs. Parker: No, you\'ll shoot your eye out.
