What do you believe are some of hte essential workouts to step up your tennis game to a higher level? I'm going to have to start doing this and i have a pretty good idea of what to work out but is there any insiders that i could be missing?  :|

Everyone here will have their opinions, and actually I am anxious to see them  

I think overall weight training is good.  I would never soley focus on one thing.  The one thing I did TOTALLY avoid while lifting was squats.  Knees are already a liability on a tennis court, so I stayed away to avoid injury, a lot of good that did me!   :head-smack:

Some of the main muscles though that you could pay extra attention to:
Shoulder
Arms
Stomache
Legs

Bust on the whole package though, it will pay off!

Check out Tennis.com website for weight workouts geared for tennis.

hummer23mm:
run with ankle weights and with some 10 pound dumbells in your hands for about 1 mile a few times a week
does wonders.

Good one Hummer, I used to mow lawns with them on.
