Well I'm happy for Safin. Its about time he broke through and won another final and stopped squandering his chances in the finals of the Australian. I hope he becomes a definite threat for Roger --

Hewitt is on course for a second consecutive grand slam in a calender year of sorts- losing to the eventual winner in all slams. Last year he lost to Federer three times and Gaudio at the FO. Now he has lost to Safin. All this shows his consistency in putting himslef in the position to win slams,
