I think Agassi grew up playing in nasty wind and is just used to it.  Nice advantage.  Probably helped him to become a better striker of the ball.

Henman put in an absolutely TERRIBLE performance against Davydenko: His first serve percentage was too low, he missed forehand after forehand and he didn't manage one break of serve in the entire match, despite numerous chances and the fact that Davydenko has a tame serve.  To lose to guy like Davydenko, winning only 8 games in the process, it truly shocking; Henman easily has enough in his locker to take care of a guy like him.  This is the one thing that seperates Henman from the likes of Hewitt, Agassi, Federer and Roddick, there kind of guys won't have days where they can't hit a particular shot in court, as is often the case with Henman, particualrly on the forehand side.

I know that on this board we are all in agreement that last year was Henman's best ever year, going past the R16 of the FO and the USO for the first time, reaching the SF of both. However, it should be noted that Henman turned in similarly poor perormances in the 1st Round of both those tournaments and was lucky to get through those matches. Against Saulnier in  the first round of the FO he was down two sets and saved match points, and at the USO, he was two sets to one down against Karlovic before somehoew scraping through.

What I am saying is that he was a little fortunate last year. Its too early to say whether Henman is  on his way down in 2005, but this realyy was an APPALING  performance. Don't get me wrong, Davydenko played well, but Henman allowed him to grow in confidence.

They said he was pretty lathargic in his match too.  I didn't get to see anything but the high-lights.  I am sure he will have a better preformance at the Big W.

Classic highlights of AO matches:

http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/interactive/tv/moments.html

Check out the Agassi VS Sampras semi in 2000 and the court does actually appear to be playing faster than it does now. That year the court was nicknamed 'rebound ice' because it had been speeded up to help Rafter and Scud. I don't know why they won't do the same for Hewitt today, though. This didn't seem to bother Agassi though, although I remember that Kafelnikov complained.

When Kafelnikov won he thanked Sampras for not playing that year on his victory speech if I recall correctly.  Those videos are excellent, I watched them all in 1 sitting about 2 weeks ago.

Anyone want to call the scoreline with the Federer/Baghdatis match? I think it should be entertaining, but Roger in straight sets.

What's going on with Agassi? I know Johanssen is a good player but with how his body almost shut down on him yesterday, I definitely didnt expect him to be much of a threat to Andre today.

Lets hope he gets it together adn takes the big server down.

How did Federer look against his opponent tonight?  Better than 2 nights ago?   Time to go see how Agassi is holding up, I see he is down a set right now.

Johansson is serving extremely well (and for a huge server like him, that's really saying something).

This is really friggin amazing!  How many aces can two guys hit?  Both guys are serving like there is no tomorrow, and this after a long 5 setter for JJ 2 days ago.  I have never seen anything like it.  This could go on for hour and hours and all they do is serve, they barely ever get into a rally.  And dang does JJ have touch!

He saved the first set point against him with a HUGE backhand, one of the sweetest of the tournament.  We are even in the 3rd set, 1 set a piece.
Good Luck on the Court!!!

I heard a while back they were up 3-0 in the first set or something.  Would get the Bryan Brothers next, that would be bad for them.

Agassi and JJ in the fourth on serve, both just broke each other.  Crazy serving.  JJ not serving as many first serves now and AA starting to get some returns.

Prediction:

AA defeats JJ in 4 sets
