AO matches Monday night US time on TV

(1/1)

gary2414:
The matches ESPN2 will have at 10:30 PM EST are Andy Roddick followed by Venus Williams.  Andy will be the third on Rod Laver and Venus will be the fourth on Votofone.  Hopefully they will be ready when ESPN2 comes on the air.  For Tuesday at 2:00 PM EST it wil be the night session at Rod Laver which starts at 3:30 AM EST  These are Davenport and Hewitt.  Yesterday because the NHL was shut down the telecast was earlier at 7:00 PM EST and you saw the first two matches on Rod Laver.  The first point was not played for another ten minutes which is normally the case in matches with an announced time.  That gives latecomers a chance to get seated.  Also the gave ESPN2 an extra ten mintes in case the college basketball ran long.  It ended three minutes early because it was lopsided.  Also the women which were playing don't seem to last so long.  Then today at 2:00 PM EST you saw Agassi and Sharapova which you would have normally seen Sunday evening if  they were on later as in the past.  They were the third on Rod Laver played right after ESPN2 went off the air and the fourth on Votofone.  As a result the Agassi score was in the paper today when normally those matches you see at 2:00 PM EST would not have results in the mornig paper because they are from the night session.

Tennis4you:
I am anxious to see how Roddick does and Venus for that matter!

Arcforce:
Bleh for Roddick. Yay for Venus

It's not "Votofone", it's "Vodafone".
